November is mostly the climax of the busy Autumn release schedule, and this year isn’t different, with big titles in the gaming industry being released in time for Xmas.
Gamers have been impatiently awaiting this month as the big guns of the gaming world are launched, with budgets that are similar to any Hollywood blockbuster film.
It’s been a tough time for the games industry during the past one or two years as competition has grown, and game players budgets have shrunk, the industry will be hoping that the release of some of the biggest games of the year this month such as :Call of Duty: MW3, Elder Scrolls V, Battlefield 3, Assassins Creed, Uncharted 3 to name a couple, will put games strongly back at the top of peoples Christmas present wish lists this year.
These are the top 5 games on my Christmas list this year:
1. Call Of Duty Modern Warfare 3
2. Saints Row The Third
3. Batman Arkham city
4. Assassins Creed : Revelations
5. Need For Speed : The Run
However I chose to take a look at games targeted at the more youthful market while looking out for a appropriate Christmas gift for my nephew to use on his Nintendo 3DS. These are my top tips for game players aged 3 – 8.
1.Mario Kart 7
A New Dimension of Kart Racing brings Mushroom Kingdom racing fun in 3D.
For the first time, drivers explore new competitive kart probabilities, eg soaring thru the skies or plunging to the depths of the sea. New courses, strategic new abilities and customisable karts bring the racing excitement to fresh heights.
2.Super Mario 3D Land
For the 1st time, players can see true depth of their environment without the need for special glasses. Super Mario is a 3D evolution of classic Mario platforming featuring new level designs and challenges.

3.Sonic Generations
Based mostly on iconic levels from popular Sonic the Hedgehog titles. Sonic Generations for Nintendo 3DS will also take advantage of the StreetPass feature by enabling players to gather new content and unlock bonus material each time they pass another player. As well as this, the new two-player vs mode means fans can tough it out across some of the most familiar Sonic environments in a totally new way.
4.Mario and sonic at the London Olympic Games 2012
A bunch of exciting new headline events, including soccer and equestrian will debut on the Wii version appearing alongside classic Olympic disciplines,eg athletics, aquatics and table tennis. The all new registry of Dream events that are set in popular Mario and Sonic worlds make for a truly unique sporting experience that will only be found in Mario & Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games.
