Job Networking

There is an increasingly common trend that is developing across the nation of mature individuals returning to school after or while working in a career field for a time. These returning students are finding greater successes in their fields following their completion of collegiate degrees and are able to use their new education to advance their careers into formerly unthought-of paths.

Networking means making connections with other people that can be beneficial to you and others down the line. For instance, sending in your resume to a company in order to try and fill their job opening has a better chance of success if you know the recruiter personally. Almost everyone is more comfortable hiring somebody they have gotten to know personally than someone who they’ve read about.

Fifth- Music and art are where we can find inspiration if everything else fails. This is where we can learn from the masters, sometimes for free. Sixth- Try being a kid for a while just to reconnect with the old you who wasn’t afraid to dream. Allow yourself to be curious.
