The Hartnell Community said to be among the oldest instructive establishments in California. Founded in 1920, it was under the name Salinas Junior College. It was then later renamed in 1948 into what it current known as. The school has a close proximity to Monterey Coast, and is said to have a very breathtaking scenery. She attended higher education at the Texas A & M University and the University of Wisconsin, in which she acquired a bachelor of science degree in Political and Social Science. Later on, she pursued and obtained Masters of science in Agriculture, specializing in Horticulture. Prior to her significant role as trustee president, she did the was a respected garden greenhouse manager and a successful owner of her own Landscape Contracting business.
